Sandy Hollow, Croyde

5ft surf with a moderate Westerly onshore wind. Grey on grey day, lots of sea mist shrouding the coast. A little bit of swell, all be it onshore and messy, a little bigger than yesterday, although still tollerable for a paddle out, if you're sure the reward deserves the effort. More sheltered around the corner.

4ft+ surf with a moderate Westerly onshore wind. Surfs beginning to show a little, driven on by the strength of the wind and the pushing tide. Quite choppy and messy, but overall the swells not too big, with a minimal chance of it becoming a "Victory at Sea" paddling session...and the sun's out. Probably a little smaller around the corner, but still onshore!

2-3ft surf with a light North Westerly onshore wind. A little bit of shape, quite peaky as the tide pushes up from low. Not a lot of wind expected throughout the day, what there is will be light and from a generally North Westerly direction, so there should be some reasonably shaped, small fun surf on offer 

5-6ft surf on the dropping tide with a moderate to fresh West North Westerly wind. Quite a lot of onshore wind blowing, the swell's a reasonable size, but quite messy. Probably get a little bigger and choppier throughout the day as the surf looses the limited protection offered from the wind at high tide and the influence of the pushing tide, from low, this afternoon 

3ft surf with  moderate Westerly onshore wind. Quite a stiff dead onshore breeze blowing. There's a little bit of swell laced through the general messy surface texture of the sea caused by the onshore wind, however, it's nothing to write home about, but the sun's on it and it's surfable
