Sandy Hollow, Croyde

1-2ft surf with a light and variable, generally onshore wind. Lots of small period, localised wind swell. Looks attractive in the early morning light, clean, lots of small lines, but there's very little substance to the swell. Great for learners, SUP's and surf schools. Just about surfable on a shortboard on sets, ok on a longboard.

2-3ft surf with a light-moderate Northerly cross offshore wind. The winds turned a little more cross shore and dropped out a little as it approaches high tide this morning. Reasonably sheltered with some fairly clean, quite peaky waves coming through. Conditions will probably change as the day progresses, but for now, it's well worth a surf.

2-3ft surf with a moderate North Westerly onshore wind. Quite blustery and choppy conditions, the beach is exposed and offering no shelter as the tide drops towards low. There's a little more swell around than yesterday, although it's a little disorganised and messy, throughout the day, there'll probably be a little more surf on offer than yesterday. Surfable

2ft surf with a moderate Westerly onshore wind. Surfable, it's a little choppy and messy and there is something to be found out there, for those willing to give it a try. The wind's expected to remain at this strength and back a little more NW as we progress into tomorrow, although conditions won't be great, it could generate a little increase in size. Tomorrows swimmers...if it's not too rough, it'll be ok out the back. A good fore-runner for the Croyde Ocean Tri

1-2ft surf with a light North Westerly onshore wind. Light onshore winds first thing this morning, small swell with lots of interesting and clean faced little sections on offer, just about surfable. right board, right frame of mind, could be fun...before the wind comes up!
